Ahaha...Belgijski
ampak tipi imajo same hite, oi-oi backvokale, refrene, ki vstanejo
''Unwillingly sober''...''11 o'clock, it's closing time, the beer
is flowing, the violence is growing, cops come in, another bleeding
chin, they come to get you, beat them black & blue,...''. Booklet
Besedila so enostavna in v veliki meri opisujejo težko in nepošteno
in udarnega komada ''Never give in'', ki nagovarja delavski sloj
k uporu za boljše živlenje (sicer nič novega ampak še vedno boljše
kot sporočilo drugih tekstov). Da zaključim, ''Breaking the jaw''
English
Version:
Ahaha...a Belgian band with the songs almost equivalent to Scuffy
Dogs (old, legendary punk band from Slovenija). I'm not joking!
Obviously, they're not using slovenian laguage (it's in english)
and the percussion is not as fast as with Scuffy Dogs, but all the
songs are hits, they use oi-oi backvocals, memorable choruses and
old everlasting riffs which were used thousand times before but
still haven't lost their strength. It's typical melodic punk which
due to the constant presence of catchy guitar melodies higly leans
towards punkrock. The tempo is not too fast, neither too slow, but
I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to speed up some songs here and
there. Singing is slightly rough and goes fine with the music. Sound
quality is great, but that doesn't change the fact that after ''Braking
the jaw'' reach it's length middle point everything becomes a little
less absorbing, since the songs do not experience variation on some
larger degree, neither in structure, neither in tempo. Like I said
before, some fast paced song might changed that! The only dissimilar
song is ''Next time'' but just because it's the instrumental one.
The layout get along with their music and album title and could
be reffering to the lyric in ''Unwillingly sober''...''11 o'clock,
it's closing time, the beer is flowing, the violence is growing,
cops come in, another bleeding chin, they come to get you, beat
them black & blue,...''. Booklet is done simply and besides
the front cover and lyrics include also a few serious + one not
so serious band photo and a huge thanks list. Simplicity is notable
also with the lyrics which largely deal with hard and unfair life.
The only lyrics I actally like is possesed by the fastest and the
most striking song titled ''Never give in'', which harangues working
class to resistance and better life (which's nothing new but still
better than the content in other lyrics). All in all, this is a
fine record and I enjoy it, but on the other hand it has noting
I haven't heard before!
