Closet
niti hitro drvečih punk ritmov in niti privlačnih, malo bolj umirjenih
do izraza v najnežnejšem komadu ''Melody's song'', ki me narahlo
spominja na kakšno Get Up Kids skladbico. Besedila so nabita z optimizmom
pokvarjen sistem, itd. Sporočila so mi resnično všeč in prav zaradi
HC založbici Join the Team Player records (v sodelovanju z Undergorind
English
Version:
Clostet Monser are coming from Canada and they contain some members
of this well known but already dead band Sum 41. Their music is
what else than a punkrock and although I know before mentioned band
only from TV screens I could say Closet Monster sound pretty close
to them with maybe just a little bit more aggressivness on some
accasions, which of course make sense regarding to their lyrics
content. Otherwise they're doing very joyful, melodic and frisky
songs and like it's significant for modern punkrock you will found
in plenty of fast driving punk speed as well as catchy and a little
bit mellow portions with multitude singing and nice melodies that
always reamin in your head for a while. It's not monotonous and
there's a good sense of diversity from one song to another, that's
for sure. In a few songs they even put piano which especially works
in the most tender song herein ''Melody's song'' that remeniscent
me on some Get Up Kids ditty. Lyrics are loded with optimism and
socio-political issues craving for changes, revolt and freedom and
attacking media, sexism, racism, americanizm, corupted system, etc.
I really like their messages! They're the reasons I'm putting Closet
Monster before hundreds of punkrock bands that often have nothing
to say. They should teach from these guys! Layout is all black'n'white
with some silver and everything (including photos from inside) goes
really well with the lyrics. At first I was a little surprised german's
Join the Team Player records released that (together with canadian
Underground Operations) but after I have read the lyrics I knew
it was a good move.
